We do not record, store, or monitor your live camera and microphone streams. All audio and video interactions on ChaosArena are transmitted in real-time directly between you and the stranger using secure WebRTC Peer-to-Peer technology. Our servers act purely as a matchmaking queue and signaling coordinator to hook up the peer feeds. Once matched, the data stays strictly local.
1. Data We Do NOT Collect
No email addresses, names, or passwords.
No user accounts, profiles, or avatars.
No video frame histories, capture images, or audio snippets.
2. Data We Collect for Safety & Moderation
To protect our community from bad actors, we collect and store basic metrics on our secure servers:
Anonymous Session Tokens: A random string generated on your device (stored in localStorage) to identify your session during active matchmaking.
Report Logs: User reports (reason, timestamp, reporter and reported socket IDs) to track and block abusive individuals.
IP Addresses: Used solely to issue temporary network cooldown blocks or bans to users who repeatedly violate Community Guidelines.
Heartbeat Metrics: Temporary server verification packets (camera active status, framerate flags) to ensure fair matchmaking rules.
3. How We Use Information
The temporary information we collect is utilized strictly to:
Operate the random matchmaking lobby and verify WebRTC signals.
Detect and flag spam, virtual camera exploits, or rapid toggle abuses.
Enforce the 3-strike reporting ban policy.
Review IP appeal forms.

We do not use advertising tracking cookies. We do not sell or lease any user statistics to advertising platforms. We may utilize privacy-first analytics tools (like PostHog or self-hosted Plausible) to monitor overall service uptime and error trends. No personal identifying files are stored in cookies.
